And Acts 2:46 says that Christians celebrated Mass everyday in its primitive form, &quot;Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes.&quot;  Why is the liturgy so important?  Because it&#039;s God&#039;s work, not ours and Christ becomes substantially present for us to make us his Father&#039;s flesh and blood children in a real way.  If we Catholics today showed the same devotion and belief in the Eucharist that the early Church had maybe we wouldn&#039;t need a law to make people go.  They would see our joy and be encouraged to go.</description>
