Praying is just a supernatural form of communication... conversing with someone that's outside of the natural world, Saints or God. Praying just comes from the Latin word "to ask," it doesn't mean "to worship." As you've properly said, we don't worship the Saints. Worship is reserved only for God. It’s actually okay to say we “pray to” Mary or the other Saints. Praying is just a supernatural form of communication… conversing with someone that’s outside of the natural world, Saints or God. Praying just comes from the Latin word “to ask,” it doesn’t mean “to worship.” As you’ve properly said, we don’t worship the Saints. Worship is reserved only for God.
