Don't forget Pray As You Go (subscribe on iTunes or see pray-as-you-go.org) - a WONDERFUL daily ~12 min meditation on the day's scripture reading, produced by British Jesuits. It's been a part of my daily commute for years. Please go check it out.

Interesting Myisha - We should do whatever we can to maintain an attitude of prayer and be in constant communication with the Lord throughout the day.

I appreciate the insights of this article and the challenge that it presents to all of us to us technology in support of our beliefs and our relationship with God. Harnessing the power of the future instead of being afraid of it is the way to engage youth and others who find the tradition of faith unapproachable or off-putting. The true definition of meeting people where they are :)

Awesome article. I agree that we can not put God in a box. Multitasking is normal, hectic schedules are normal, so there needs to be some kind of change in order to keep God first in our lives and if the Kindle helps (I have one and it works) why not. I believe God truly appreciates all of our efforts when we sincerely want to spend time with the Master.

This is an interesting article. Websites like www.bustedhalo.com, www.patheos.com, or www.beliefnet.com are providing resources and linking people to faith. But, we should also link to a "household" of faith, but you know about family! So technology is great, but relationship is even better.

Peace Myisha,

What a great article! I am definitely one who takes advantage of technology in how I stay "connected" to GOD. I'm a Blackberry user, but I can't wait for the new iPhone 3GS 32G!!! If you thought I used technology to extend my quality time with GOD, just wait until I get a hold of those iPhone apps. Thanks for championing those of us willing to step out of the box, using different methods to maintain connection and relationship with GOD.

Blessings to you!

Great article! I often go thru my day forgetting to pray and just say thank you for the things that have happened in my life. But with text messages and Twitter I am constantly reminded by friends that God is good and not to forget to thank him for life. I also follow Rev Run and his tweets are very inspirational and what I need to get me thru rough days. Unfortunately busy lives can really put a strain on your personal spirituality, so I appreciate social networking and God-on-the go technology!

Great article. I think it's interesting how so often folks boast about the penetration of technology into our culture and how it's made things convenient, etc, but then so often those same folks try and negate technology's presence when it comes to spiritual practices. Everything evolves. And if we can make it so that the resources used to practice religion, faith lifestyles, etc are more convenient, and ultimately cooler, hey, I have a hard time seeing a problem with that.
