How the global economic downturn is affecting La Antigua
In early February, I traveled to Guatemala in hopes of doing some service work while brushing up on my Spanish. But as I describe in this report, I ended up learning a lot more than a language over the course of my two week adventure.

In 2005 I spent 11 weeks in Antigua and studied at a school called PROBIGUA. It was just about a block from La Iglesia de la Merced. Make sure you get there for a Sunday Mass. The children’s “coro” at the main Sunday Mass is EXCELENTE!
