Ocean Beach in the Sunset is a great place to bring Shiloh for a walk (or chase birds and scatter sand in people's faces as my mutt did last year when I took her there) as is Baker Beach in the Richmond. Also - if you like Dim Sum, the best place I experienced when I lived there is NOT in Chinatown, but at Ton Kiang in the Richmond on Geary and 22nd. You WON'T be disappointed! Green Apple books is awesome (Clement and 6th), Ameoba Records (an old bowling alley turned used music store) on Haight and Stanyon, and all of the Mexican food you could ever want is in the Mission, as is Mission Delores, a beautiful, beautiful church. Please e-mail me if you need any other suggestions while you're there or if you can't find a place to stay. :) P.S.
