We take for granted the colors of our rainbows. I am very intrigued by the Amish. I actually feel like we should all take a few steps back in how today's society lives. Life seems to be a lot less crazy in the Amish land compared to our current day. We no longer have "time," family time that is where the Amish do. IF we look back 50 years ago, our families had more time for each other....so what if you can not do some of the things you want.....Choices are out there....if you are "Amish" you still have a choice just like with any other religion. It is an individual preference.... Find who YOU are... and go with it. As someone from the Jewish faith, I've always disagreed with the way Orthodox children were raised, particularly in the Chabad sect. They never seem to be allowed to make their own decision as to whether they want to continue that path. It's so refreshing to hear about the Amish tradition of rumspringa - it makes total sense, and I think it's very enlightened. And the article is very well written, particularly on a topic that most of us know little or nothing about. Great article!
