So, being 28…
all my friends are in serious relationships. We’re all either married or, more likely, in long-term relationships that resemble marriage. This weirds me out. Does this weird anyone else out? I love my girlfriend, don’t get me wrong, but I’m still a little surprised by how few single people I encounter anymore. To all you single people out there: sorry for rubbing it in. I’m just thining out loud. Feel free to comment in rage.

Don’t you think PART of that comes from the fact that at a certain age (I’d put it at around 25 or so, or maybe at college graduation) you simply ENCOUNTER LESS NEW PEOPLE, both single and otherwise? At least that’s my experience. I’ve noticed I have to put more and more conscious effort to make friends and acquaintances, not just significant others. Which is ok after you realize that by putting more effort, you actually do more fun activities. So, all you single people out there: stop whining and go do something about it. You’ll miss being single when you no longer are, and you’ll regret not having done whatever you don’t do now.
